Has the economy changed your spending or gift giving habits this year for the holidays?

Great group idea. Our gift giving won't change much this year because we've had very little discretionary cash over the last few and are notoriously cheap anyway. So our families and friends have come to expect very little!

Nah

It really hasn't. We'll begin buying for Christmas '09 the day after Christmas '08. We have a huge family, and still want to send a little gift to many of them. The only way this is possible is to buy along the way.

I'm a huge believer in inexpensive yet meaningful gifts. A large price tag doesn't always insure the best gift.

I did send about 20 less Christmas cards this year compared to years past. I have also noticed that we haven't received as many cards as normal either this year. Personally, I love Christmas cards and enjoy sending them to my clients, friends, and family! I think it's a great way to remember people across the country and globe. I hope that people continue to share this tradition in the future.
